  • SRHC Annual Banquet - TBA
    • A lot of hard work, time, and preperation goes into making this Banquet successful. To help out in a great cause of fundraising for the Student Run Health Clinic (SRHC), please contact Joe Spellman.
    • Student Run Health Clinic will be hosting its annual fundrasing event. We (UCR undergrads and the biomed students) provide a monthly health clinic for the homeless community of Riverside. Heres an article that was in the Press Enterprise describing our services: http://www.inthenews.ucr.edu/cgi-bin/display.cgi?id=11494
The banquet is our way of raising funds for future expansion and purchasing medicines and other medical equipment for the clinic.

    • Here is a list of local hospital/medical centers, which provide opportunities in volunteering and internships.
  • International Service Learning (ISL) :
    • International Service Learning (ISL) is the perfect opportunity for pre-health students to travel to underdeveloped countries and serve the communities that need the most medical help. While this program does not offer the emergency, life or death situations you may think, it provides its students with an experience of practicing grass-roots medicine at its finest. No experience is necessary to apply. The only pre-requisite is that students have a drive to make the world a better place. Several trips to Tanzania, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, and Nicaragua are available year round, during winter, spring, and summer break.

Please contact Sara Asad at sasad001@student.ucr.edu for more information or questions.
